Kim Ortiz is a native of East Texas. She began her legal career 3 years ago. She is currently assisting in all areas of the law office.
She graduated from Tyler Junior College in 2007. She currently holds an Associate in Applied Science degree under the Legal Studies program. While studying at TJC, she was inducted as a member of the International Honor Society for Junior Colleges, Phi Theta Kappa.
She is a Certified Paralegal as of August 2008. She is an active member of the Tyler Area Association of Legal Professionals (TAALP). She joined TAALP in 2006 as a student member and became extremely involved as a regular member and now serves on the Board of Directors. She is a member of NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants) and joined the Legal Assistants Division of the State Bar of Texas in 2007.
She has one son where all extra time is devoted. They love to bike ride, swim, watch movies, and travel or anything outdoors. Her favorite activity is to watch her son play sports. They have been members of Green Acres Baptist Church for several years and have previously served extensively in the Singles and Children’s Ministries.
